I had a huge amount of fun making all the graphic elements for the promo; "Inventions That Shook The World". Working with Pauline Le Goff we aimed to capture some of the more obscure inventions from the 20th century that have ended up being integral in today's society and maintain a fluid motion between them.
Working between Cinema 4D and After Effects, we have ended up with quite a lovely little promo. Big thanks also go to Ed Railton for such great sound design.Maxwell Broughtonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05061024673018088529noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2975133685522131502.post-90402368717984087802012-09-27T17:32:00.000+01:002012-09-27T17:32:28.175+01:00 Cisco Multiple Devices

For a two part documentary for Al Arabiya about the rise of Saudi Arabia's first king: Abdulaziz Ibn Saud and his reign over the brand new nation of Saudi Arabia; I was asked to create a title sequence. With a run time of 40 seconds, we felt that we had to keep it mysterious and not give too much away until the final moments. Also, with limits on archive footage (due to his reign starting in 1932), we didn't want to use what little shots we had in the opening.
(Bizarrely) inspired by Tim Burton's Batman, Jon Hacker and I decided that this would be the best approach to satisfying the criteria we were working under.
Loaded with un-so-subtle metaphors and visual language, here's the finished product.
After mulling over the best space like thing that could be used, we decided that the NASA lunar module had, by far the most personality and would be the most space efficient... A Discovery Science lick of paint later and we had a product!
